With the rise of online business transactions from everyday emails to large sums traded on international online payment gateways, businesses are continuously at risk of possible online scams and fraud.
This Cybersecurity 101 session will be delivered by Cyber Security Brunei aims to equip participants with foundational knowledge about cybersecurity threats and protection measures. Key objectives include understanding why hackers hack, learning how to create and manage secure passwords, and identifying common social engineering tactics to prevent cyber attacks. Additionally, participants will explore ways to recognize signs of harmful software, such as malware, and gain practical tips for enhancing digital safety in everyday life.
The session will also cover important reporting protocols, specifically what incidents can be reported to BruCERT. Participants will observe a demonstration on the impact of spyware and ransomware, deepening their understanding of these threats.
This awareness talk is relevant for start-ups, MSMEs, employees and even everyday users.
