Want to start a business? Come to Entrepreneurship Open Day!

Aspiring entrepreneurs and existing businesses are invited to attend Darussalam Enterprise’s (DARe) Entrepreneurship Open Day (EOD) on Tuesday, 29th August at Tutong’s Dewan Kemasyarakatan from 8.30am to 9pm, to inquire and learn about the government’s initiatives and support for businesses.

EOD is a continuous initiative by DARe, held in all four districts to update public on improvements being made to the business ecosystem, register issues faced by business community that needs appropriate resolution and to create awareness on services provided by government agencies and the private sector for Brunei Darussalam’s business community.

There will be 30 different agencies present where you can inquire and learn about training and capacity building programs, Halal certification, intellectual property related matters, organizing expos and trade fairs, product nutrient labeling and shelf-life testing, manpower recruitment – including foreign labour application and renewal and much more.

Talks will also be held throughout the day, starting with a presentation on Wawasan 2035 followed by those on the Halal Certificate and Halal Label Order (Amendment 2017) by the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Product Nutrient Labeling and Shelf-life testing by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism; how to protect your business logo and other intellectual property related matters by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO) and concluded with a business plan writing workshop by LiveWIRE.
